Flap disc HERMAN LR-40 Area 125mm | P60/80 | zirconia

This zirconium flap disc with dual grit flaps is designed for surface grinding on stainless steel and high-strength metals. It features a T29 conical backing pad with radially arranged flaps using two different grit sizes, which significantly increase contact area and grinding efficiency.

The disc uses zirconia corundum abrasive grain (50% zirconium) applied on a poly-cotton belt, offering:

• Long disc life even under pressure

• Excellent heat dissipation

• High removal rate with consistent performance

Each flap has the same shape and size, but with two different grit types. The upper flap covers 80% of the surface, while the lower flap covers 20%. As a result, the tool runs cooler, handles more pressure, and continues working effectively even after the top layer wears down.

The flaps are machine-cut and arranged with ±0.5 mm precision, ensuring consistent contact and balance. A 7-layer fiberglass plate provides a stable base, while epoxy resin bonding guarantees secure attachment of each flap.

Recommended use: operate between 15˚–25˚ with a 125 mm angle grinder, minimum 1400W, and speed regulation for optimal control.
