This corundum flap disc for edge grinding offers consistent performance on ferrous and non-ferrous metals with medium hardness. It features a flat T27 backing pad and radially arranged 23 mm wide lamellae, which focus grinding pressure in a narrow, controlled line. As a result, you achieve clean, precise edge finishes with minimal effort.
Each flap is made from X-heavy cotton-backed aluminum oxide abrasive belts (industrially produced corundum). This combination provides excellent removal capacity and long disc life, even in continuous-use applications.
Moreover, the lamellae are radially positioned with ±0.5 mm accuracy, ensuring perfect balance and vibration-free operation. A 7-layer fiberglass backing plate reinforces the disc, offering high resistance to mechanical stress. To keep everything securely in place, we use a specialized epoxy resin adhesive that holds under both heat and pressure.
In addition, we have optimized the flap density through extensive testing. This ensures that each grit performs consistently, whether for aggressive material removal or smooth finishing. Therefore, the disc adapts to various metalworking tasks with ease.
Use it at a grinding angle of 5˚–15˚ with a 125 mm angle grinder equipped with speed control for the best results.
